What We Offer

Orthopaedic Specialties of Lexington has been offering the latest in orthopedic devices and home medical equipment coupled with excellent customer service to Central and Eastern Kentucky since 1997. We now provide service to Metropolitan Louisville and Southern Indiana as well as Middle Tennessee.  By focusing on our areas of specialization, the staff and practitioners at Orthopaedic Specialties of Lexington are able to meet more needs for more people.

We are certified providers for Medicare, Medicaid in Kentucky and Indiana and are participating providers for most major insurance carriers.  We work with the majority of auto and worker’s compensation carriers.  Orthopaedic Specialties of Lexington has worked with several thousand claims and has unsurpassed experience in dealing with all of these payors.  We accept assignment on the vast majority of claims with group health insurance companies, Medicare and Medicaid.

Meet our Practitioners

Rick Noland is the owner and operator of Orthopaedic Specialties of Lexington.  Rick is a Certified Fitter-Orthotics with the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics.  He is also a Certified Orthotics Fitter with the Board of Certification/Accreditation, International.  Rick has been working in the orthopedic industry since 1989.  He started Orthopaedic Specialties of Lexington in 1997 and the business has grown each year since opening.  The Lexington, Kentucky based facility is currently accredited with the Board of Certification/Accreditation, International.  Rick attended Western Kentucky University and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Biophysics in 1986.  Upon graduation he continued his education at the University of Kentucky with Master’s studies in Exercise Physiology and Kinesiology.  While attending UK he worked as a physical therapy technician, which allowed him to gain insight into the needs of the orthopedic patients he now works with.  Rick has a particular interest in working with patients who have knee and spinal issues and showing them options to assist them in their activities of daily living.
